Reconsidering the epistemological role of design in an age of increasing complexity.
This ongoing theoretical research reconceptualizes design as mediative intelligence—an epistemological condition operating among relational complexity, systemic organization, perceptual coherence, and human understanding. Rather than viewing design merely as production or problem solving, the framework positions it as a mediating practice through which complexity becomes coherent and intelligible.

Proposed framework illustrating design as mediative intelligence in relation to relational complexity, systemic organization, perceptual coherence, and human experience.
